Tail Waggin" Tutors children reading to dogs is sponsored by Therapy Dogs International, Inc. will be at the library every month on the second Saturday of the month from 11:00 AM to noon. During the month of August, continuing through the Palmerton Community Festival weekend of September 12, the Friends of the Palmerton Area Library will sponsor a huge book sale in our basement along with a basket auction with baskets worth at least $25.00 each. Drawing will be held Monday September 14. You don't need to be present at the drawing to win. Over 2000 items for the sale including books, CD's, movies and puzzles. Lots of new items will be put out specifically for this sale. Tickets are $0.50 each or 3 for $1.00 and will go on sale August 1.
